This half term our topic is Minibeasts! 🐞🐛

We are enjoying the much-loved story The Very Hungry Caterpillar, joining in with repeated phrases and learning about simple story sequences. This has also sparked our curiosity about the natural world and the tiny creatures around us.

In Nursery, we have been exploring through hands-on activities and play. The children are fascinated by our real caterpillars as they grow and change, helping us learn about life cycles!
We are super excited to be going on minibeast hunts and talking about the different insects we find.

We have been busy creating caterpillars and butterflies, practising cutting and mark-making, and using our imaginations to retell the story.

In phonics, we are focusing on alliteration and voice sounds, having fun experimenting with different sounds.
