This half term in Maths, we have been exploring shapes and amounts!
We have been learning about 2D shapes, naming them and talking about their properties, such as how many sides and corners they have. The children have enjoyed spotting shapes in the environment and using them in their play.
Nursery have enjoyed learning all about more and less, using practical activities to compare amounts and develop our understanding of quantity.
We have also been introduced to 3D shapes, exploring how they look and feel, and talking about their differences. The children have been using shape language as they build and create, developing their understanding in a fun and practical way.
