Nursery
To celebrate World Book Week, the children enjoyed a variety of activities centred around our story “Dear Zoo” by Rod Campbell. We talked about different animals we know, discussing what they look like and their special features. The children shared their favourite animals and had a go at drawing them, before practising writing the names of their chosen animals.
We were also delighted to welcome some parent readers into our classroom, who came in to share their love of reading with the children. It was wonderful to see the children enjoying stories together and listening so carefully.
To finish our celebrations, we had a cosy Teddy Bears’ Story Circle Time, where the children passed the teddy around the circle and talked about their favourite stories and what they are about. It was a lovely way to celebrate books, storytelling and a shared love of reading. 📚🧸
