Literacy
We have been using the books ‘The Great Kapok Tree’ and ‘The Secret Sky Garden’ to hook us into our literacy work.
The Kapok Tree was used to help us write a persuasive letter to a woodcutter to inform them of the complications with deforestation.
The Secret Sky Garden has been used to help us write setting descriptions and a comparison narrative. The children have been working hard to ensure their writing is the best they have ever done.
