Harvest Festival 2025
This year, for our celebration of Harvest, we cooked recipes linked to our History topics.
Across the week, classes created, presented and cooked a food from their current historical era.
Nursery - Chocolate cake - All about me
Reception - Jam tarts - Marvellous me
Year 1 - Birthday Cake - All about me
Year 2 - 17th Century biscuits - The Great Fire of London
Year 3 - Flapjack - The Stone Age
Year 4 - Vegetable and bean chilli - Ancient Maya
Year 5 - Teganites (pancakes) - Ancient Greece
Year 6 - Eyam Stew - The Plague
Families were asked to donate tins to support our local Trussell Trust Foodbank. We collected enough to fill two trolleys and the volunteers were very grateful to have the support of the school.
