EYFS Making it Real - The Gruffalo Adventure
A huge thank you to our wonderful parents who have taken part in our Making it Real – Gruffalo project this year. We love welcoming families into EYFS to share our stories, see learning in action, and experience a little of the magic that happens each day. It was fantastic to watch the children engage with the story and then explore a range of exciting activities. These sessions highlight how communication and language, fine motor skills and mark making all link to early literacy. Oral storytelling is an essential first step and it’s even more exciting when children begin to mark make their own stories or recognise key sounds and simple words. Environmental print also plays an important role in early reading and being surrounded by rich language supports every child’s development. Opportunities like this can have a real, lasting impact and we can’t wait for our next session in Spring!
