St Mary's CofE Primary School - 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind...Love your neighbour as yourself.' Matthew 22 v37-40

St Mary's CofE Primary School

We love. We learn. We flourish.

Book Club

We loved creating our maps to find the buried treasure. The story ‘Portside Pirates’ comes with a wonderfully catchy song which the children loved to join in with. They created their maps to remember which way the pirates went!

Portside Pirates

We enjoyed reading the Gruffalo and created a large study map of the characters and setting in the deep dark wood.

The Gruffalo

We enjoyed reading Freddie and the Fairy, the children sequenced the story and thought about the rhyming words that the fairy accidentally mixed up. No-one wants a ‘carrot’ for a pet!

Freddie and the Fairy

In our book club we enjoy reading stories together. We explore each book as a group and we enjoy the activities liked to the story. We fully immerse ourselves in the book which supports our understanding of print and its meaning!

Books include - Teddy bears picnic, The smartest giant in town, The little acorn and Seren’s seasons, Unplugged and Freddie and the Fairy. Other books will be added.
