Important Update: Nut-Free School Environment

I am writing to inform you of an important health and safety decision that we have recently implemented following a comprehensive risk assessment at St Mary's C of E Primary School.

Nut-Free School Environment:

Effective immediately, our school will be a completely nut-free environment. This decision has been made in response to:

  • An increasing number of pupils with severe nut allergies
  • Recommendations from our health and safety risk assessment
  • Our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our pupils

What This Means for Families

  • No nuts or nut-based products should be brought into school
  • This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Peanut butter
    • Nutella
    • Granola bars containing nuts
    • Cakes or baked goods with nut ingredients

Our Approach

We understand this may require some adjustments to packed lunches and snacks. Our school community's health and safety is our priority and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
