Spanish Day 2025
On Friday 23rd May 2025, we held our annual Modern Foreign Language enrichment day.
Each class focused on a different Spanish speaking country. The countries selected also linked to our National Curriculum Geography objectives.
EYFS - Spain
Year 1 - Cuba
Year 2 - Argentina
Year 3 - Peru
Year 4 - Columbia
Year 5 - Mexico
Year 6 - Costa Rica
Each class researched facts about their country that linked to physical and human geography. This included the population, highest mountain, longest river and capital city.
They then used this information to create a 'Top Trumps' card for their country.
These were then put together to create a game involving all the countries covered. Each class was given a set to play with.
Children and staff were invited to wear Spanish style clothes or red and yellow to reflect the Spanish flag.
