Autumn 1
Our Literacy learning has been focused around our book of the half term: The Colour Monster. The children have been exploring and learning all about the different parts of the book- the front, the back, the spine, the title, the author and the illustrator! We have been talking about the characters, and beginning to understand the feelings and emotions each colour represents.
In nursery we have had lots of fine motor activities going on to help our pencil grips, and the "zig-zag" stage which refers to pre-writing patterns, a phase in early writing development where children move beyond random scribbling and circles to create structured lines, including zig-zags, waves, and spirals!
