Welcome BBQ 2023
On Friday 15th September, we welcomed our school and community families to a new academic year at St. Mary's by hosting our annual barbeque event. Mr Newall did a smashing job taking over from Mr Quinn on the BBQ although his glasses could now do with a deep clean! Mrs Jones was shown the ropes by Mrs Lee as to how to run the bouncy castle successfully without any bumped head letters needing to be completed! Year 6 ran a book stall to raise money towards their trip to Eyam and the floating archery activities were as busy as ever.
It was wonderful to see so many people there and we raised a fantastic £735. This will be used to upgrade some of the books in our library to enhance new topics being taught alongside the purchase of some brand new signs to be installed on the main road.
