Mathematics

Autumn Term - We have been looking at:

  • Number and Place Value - Numbers to 5
  • Addition and Subtraction - Sorting
  • Number and Place Value - Comparing Groups  
  • Addition and Subtraction -Change within 5 Measurement 
  • Time – My day 
  • Shape - 2D and 3D

 

Your child has been taught many different ways to look at numbers, especially the composition of numbers 1-5.  This is to allow them a deep understanding of number.

 

To help us remember our mathematics skills we use songs and rhymes. Below are a few with links to them should you want to listen to them at home:

We also use our computers and iPads to access a variety of websites to help with our learning on:

Numbots/TT Rockstars (your child has a login for this)

Topmarks (free games)

White Rose 1 Minute Maths (a free app on tablets/phones)
