Sean Perkins Day
St Mary's were visited by Sean Perkins this week. He is an author and illustrator and he joined us as part of our celebrations for World Book Day 2024.
He joined us for a whole-school assembly where he read us his new book and sang two very funny songs. It was lovely hearing the children laughing and singing along.
He then joined Key Stage 1 and EYFS for a workshop, creating songs and poems with his workshop- Silly pie. The children enjoyed creating their own rhyming verse and posting these into Silly Pie himself.
It was a pleasure having Sean at St Mary's again and we are already looking forward to his next visit.
