Who is Rosa Parks?

Watch this clip about Rosa Parks. Here is the link

What is extraordinary about Rosa's story?

What words would you use to describe her and her actions?

What have you learnt from her story?

Think about a time when you've experienced things that seem unfair .

What did you do? How did you feel? Draw a picture of the time and label it fair and unfair.

Sometimes it can be difficult to speak out against unfairness ... but sometimes all it takes is a single courageous act to begin to put things right again.

Dear God . Thank you for those people like Rosa who have the courage to take a stand. Help each one of us to take a stand when we see things around us that are unfair so that we can work together for a better world . Amen

 Tied up in knots.

Sometimes we feel we are tied up in knots - stuck with work, tummy in knots and feeling unwell, confused and worried, Just like knots in trainer laces or in ropes, they  take a while to untie. We need to share the problem with others and ask for help.

Loosen any knots of worry as we pray.

If you would like to practise some knot tying, try this video 'how to tie 5 different knots'
