Who am I?

This session brings together many of your writing targets. You will be using a range of adjectives, capital letters for proper nouns and hopefully some conjunctions too. Write a character description using the pictures below. Can you play "Who am I?" with an adult in your house?

RECAP- Commas

I touched on this session recently and I noticed a little revision was needed in using commas. It is a fairly simple use of punctuation however it can often cause issues in where the comma is placed.

I have given the same pictures to try using a comma in place of an "and" so hopefully children will be familiar with its use. When they have done this, there is a challenge below using three nouns to put into a list.

Using commas- Challenge

Below is a collection of sentence starters.  Your job is to finish the sentence using three nouns and 1 comma.  For instance:

In my bag there are two apples, one pencil and a blue jumper.

Can you create your own sentence starters and use commas correctly?

1) In my bag there is...

2) For my dinner I will eat...

3) My favourite games are...

4) For breakfast I will have...

5) In my wardrobe there is...

6) My favourite sweets are...

7) Cars have...

8) My three favourite people are...
