Sentence types - Questions

This session is about questions. Questions are one of the sentence types that we use in our writing. Can you answer the "All about me" questions below and try to answer them fully and not in a single word answer. As a challenge, can you write an adult in your home a set of questions for them to answer? Good luck!

All about me questions

 

Can you answer the "All about me" questions as fully as you can?  Try to use the words in the question in your answer e.g.

 

What is your favourite colour?     My favourite colour is blue.

 

1) What is your name?

2) Who is your best friend?

3) What do you like to eat?

4) Where do you live?

5) What is your favourite animal?  Why?

6) What colour are your eyes?

7) What do you like to have on a pizza?

8) Who is your favourite superhero or princess?

9) If you had a superpower, what would you have?

10) If had a flying carpet, where would you fly to?

 

Now write your own questions for an adult in your house?  Remember- questions need question marks!

Sentence types - Statements

This session is all about statements. A statements is a sentence that contains information. Choose an animal that you know information about and write your statements on your whiteboard. For a challenge, try and make a fact poster about another animal using statements too. Good luck!
