I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Audrey Smith. I only knew Mrs Smith for a matter of months, after I joined the school as The Nursery Teacher. However, she made me feel so welcome and was a good role model for the younger members of staff. My condolences to her family

Hello,
I don't think any of your current staff will remember, but my Mum, Audrey Smith, was Deputy Head at St Marys from the 1970s to 1990s. It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that she has passed peacefully away. Perhaps if any of the current staff are still in contact with staff from this period, you could remember her to them, and also the Rector at St Marys, if it is still Mr Williamson (and that my memory hasn't betrayed me regarding his name).
Regards
Wayne Smith

St. Marys is a loving and caring school you will not find many schools like this one.
At St. Marys everybody is best friends we cherish and care for each and every person in the school. Its great, so get your child down there!
The head teacher Mrs. K Hampson and deputy head Mr. C Quinn they are both very good teachers so is all the staff: Dinner Ladies, Teaching Assistants and Office Staff.
My teacher is Mr. Quinn (I'm in year6) all my class would agree he is spectacular. We have a Garden where you can learn about Nature and in the Garden we have a chicken coop that we designed and chickens that have hatched (you will love it!).

i have many happy memories of being a pupil at your school in the 1950s. we only had 3 teachers. and it was a very happy place to be. the standard of education was very high even then. i remember the lolly pop man, he was like an uncle to us all. also mr self the caretaker. he looked after the church as well as the school. in the baby class we two big rocking horses, and an open fire. we had a huge dolls house on the stage. i loved going to school.
